What To Expect in a Might Pup Session

Through our initial intake session, you will be able to get any lingering questions answered.  Our initial intake session will also provide us not only  the opportunity to get to know your pup, but also to discuss with you any individualized programming your pup may need.  We have included an example below of a typical pup session to help you get a feel for what our services may look like.  

Mighty Pup Associate arrives at your home and gets the area all setup and ready. Depending on weather, the Mighty Pup Run mobile will remain comfortable (heater/AC). The Associate will get an appropriate sized running harness prepped and ready and deploy steps that we have for pups that struggle with jumping into vehicles. Once everything is setup, you will receive a text that they are ready and we will have you escort your pup on a lead to the vehicle. This will allow the pup to feel comforted with exploring a new area. 

Once they are comfortable, the associate will get the pup into their run harness and introducing the pup to the treadmill with lots of encouragement and praise. Once they gain a little more confidence, the Associate will then assist the dog onto the treadmill and get them properly secured. Due to our treadmills being motor-free, the slats will only go at the speed the pup chooses to go. 

The Associate will assist at first in controlling the slats by hand and as the pup gains confidence, the associate will ease off the slats and allow the pup to go at their pace. The associate will encourage and entice the pup with their favorite toy, or treats (owner approved of course). As the session winds down, the associate will gently place their hand on the slats to slow them down signaling it time to stop. The Associate will assist the pup down, out of the running harness and placing them back on their lead. Again, while giving lots of praises and pats before handing them over to you, the mighty pup owner.
